Young Women Conference
A new initiative to enhance the future leadership of today’s young women will launch on Saturday, September 15, 2018 at Solano Community College, equipping dozens of young women in Solano County with the necessary tools to gain confidence as they enter the educational and professional world. The Solano County Young Women’s Conference, held from 9 a.m. to noon at Solano Community College, 4000 Suisun Valley Road in Fairfield, Building 1400, was formed this year by a committee of five local female leaders representing health and education. It addresses the need to offer a program with essential and invaluable resources for young women. “The idea was to create a space where a group of strong, inspiring women can share personal experiences, challenges and successes in their life the with today’s young women,” said Marisela Barbosa, owner of Green Hive Spaces. “These conversations can change the lives of girls and generate enthusiastic drive for growth and development in leadership.”
